School Zone Time
Today is Trenton's first day of FOURTH grade. I just find it so shocking he's so grown up. He started this year at a new school. We had him transferred to Harrington this year. Go Huskies!!
I already really like his teacher. He seems very laid back, but still firm. I think it will be good for Trenton.
I walked him in. I was planning on just dropping him off, but a lot of other parents were going in, so I did, too. In truth, he didn't need me. But it made me feel better that he was getting where he needed to go. He said, "I wonder if I'll make friends on the very first day?" My heart clenched up. But turns out, we needn't have worried. Trenton made a friend, before school even started, in his grade line waiting to be release to the room. We got all set up once we got to the room and I chatted with his teacher. I tried not to hover, but it's hard. I gave him a final hug as the bell rung and left him there, seemingly as happy as could be.
I can't wait to get home and hear all about it. Luckily, Trenton's not too old (yet) to want to tell me about his friends and experiences.
In other news, we find out next week what we're having. So that's exciting. We haven't discussed girl names at all, since Scott refuses to acknowledge that having a girl is a possibility, lol.

Trenton is adaptive. He will do well wherever he is! And where does Scott think girls come from?
