4 years...

Happy Birthday, Carter!! 

4 years ago today, on a Friday, I was spending my first 24 hours with a tiny dark haired nugget that I'd been carrying around inside me for 9 months. 

You were SO small.  And already opinionated.  When Popaw picked you up, you started crying.  Something you did for awhile afterward.  Before you decided Popaw was your best friend and you were going to be mean to Nana instead. 

You watched your first football game with daddy in the hospital and you met your hero, your big brother, for the first time. 

Doesn't seem possible that was 4 years ago. 

I love you, little man.  You are so very stubborn and hardheaded, just like your daddy.  And you are HILARIOUS.  You say the funniest things.  You've turned into such a little man with such a big personality.  I don't know what life has in store for you, but I know it will be interesting to see.  You certainly have a way about you.  You are so independent and happy to make things happen, but you still know how to manipulate the rest of us {mainly me} to your will. 

I hope you realize how very special you are.  I ♥ you.
