Shower Day!

My amazing friends were kind enough to throw Baby Durb and I a shower yesterday.  It was small and relaxed and I had a great time!  And it was gorgeous.  My hostesses did such a great job.  It meant a lot to me that they did this for us.  I've had a bit of a complex about having a shower for a third baby.  But I adore all my boys and think they all deserve a mini celebration before birth.  It's certainly not about "getting stuff".  While the gifts are immensely helpful and MUCH appreciated, it's more about celebrating our new baby.  ::Shrug::  I just feel like it's my job to make sure each of them feels loved and special.  Because they are.  So this helped more than just in the way of preparing for baby.  It helped me mentally and emotionally, too. 

While I don't feel ready for a new baby, yet, it certainly isn't because of the awesome gifts we got.  I'm not mentally battle ready, yet, lol.  But I am certainly blessed in the number and quality of people {which is something I'm really trying to focus on lately in who I have around me and my family} who came out to support us. 

So huge thanks to my hostesses, Sally, Jenn, Debbie and Krista.  I really can't describe how huge this was and how thankful I am to have you guys in my life and willing to do such an amazing thing for me and little bit.

And THIS is baby Durbs first gift.  It was special delivered to our doorstep Saturday night from a super special someone who shall not be named for reasons that should remain undisclosed.  The pictures don't do it justice.  It is friggin' ADORABLE.  And it is CRAM PACKED with awesomeness.  The duck is a bath and it's filled with bottles, baby wash, sheets, pacifiers, wipes, diaper cream and the Boppy pillow {which I LOVE} that I registered for.  PLUS there was a bag of adorable baby clothes including the sweetest little baby hat ever!  ♥  Thank you, secret baby gifter!!!
