20 weeks... halfway done!

Ok, more than halfway, as my doctor will induce a week early {YAY!} if I'm still pregnant then, but we'll go with technical halfway point.  5 months pregnant but I am friggin' huge already.  Not giant enough to be uncomfortable {beyond my aching back} 24/7 yet, but big enough so that hard baby ball keeps me from sleeping like I want to.  :/

"Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. He's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana (For the first 20 weeks, when a baby's legs are curled up against his torso and hard to measure, measurments are taken from the top of his head to his bottom — the "crown to rump" measurement. After 20 weeks, he's measured from head to toe.)

He's swallowing more these days, which is good practice for his digestive system. He's also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. This gooey substance will accumulate in his bowels, and you'll see it in his first soiled diaper (some babies pass meconium in the womb or during delivery)." - babycenter.com

Regarding my eldest, he finished his first school project to turn in today.  They are researching early Texas history and each group got tribe of Indians that used to populate Texas.  He got the Comanches so he had the weekend, really, to MAKE 3 artifacts regarding life as a Comanche Indian.  Since he was with his dad this weekend, he really on had a couple of hours Friday and last night.  :/

Still, his artifacts came out pretty cool, if I do say so myself.

He made a pair of leather moccasins, a teepee replica out of leather and painted with Indianish {lol} symbols, and an arrow.  The bow was to much work and I decided to just let him make the arrow.  I was also slightly afraid a bow would encourage Indian role play that would get him in more trouble than he finds normally.

Please excuse my crappy iphone pictures.

Cool feathers on the arrow.  So pretty.  Love them.
